ALMOST 200 pupils and staff at an Astley school donned leotards, gym kits and trainers for an intensive aerobic workout all to raise money for charity.
The students of St Mary's RC High School jumped, kicked and stretched for a 20 minute vigorous session. Maths teacher Ken Hindley did some 'working out' of his own, along with the youngsters!
Workout instructor Michelle Barber got the children and teachers' bodies in action for the sponsored aerobathon in aid of LEPRA -- the British Leprosy Relief Association.
PE teacher Adam Burrows said: "I was delighted with the response of staff and pupils to keep fit, have fun but most of all raise money to help remove the suffering leprosy which is still rife in many parts of the world."
For every £21 raised, the organisers hope to cure one more person of the disease.
