POETIC indie band Tompaulin have provisionally called their debut album The Town And The City.
And the group plan to release it on Uglyman records in the very near future.
Currently recording in Liverpool, the title chosen by the band is partly a tribute to Jack Kerouac, whose first novel was called The Town And The City, and partly to represent the split locations of the band's homes.
Four members of the group still live in their home town of Blackburn while the rest live in London.
Songwriter and pianist Ciaron Melia has also written a song called The Town And The City which may or may not find its way onto the album. Their latest single Its A Girl's World was planned to be a limited edition of 500 copies.
But the Track And Field label had advance orders for over 800 so they pressed 1,000, which sold out within the first week.
The label is now considering a second pressing but no decision has been made.
