WALSALL could face an FA fine after Bury keeper Paddy Kenny was hit by a coin thrown by a fan.
Kenny ran to the half way line to show the referee the coin which struck him and at least two more landed close by him.
As the full time whistle sounded a hail of bottles and coins rained around him.
However, the keeper's team-mates didn't have too much sympathy for him.
''He's a bit gutted he only made £1.70 really,'' revealed assistant boss Steve Redmond. ''Mind you knowing Paddy that's either gone on a pint or it's been slotted by now.
''It was just one of those things really where the home fans were getting a bit frustrated and it's up to the stewards to sort it out.''
One piece of bad news was the injury to Danny Swailes who limped off with suspected ankle ligament damage and may be out for several months. With Chris Swailes also sidelined it's a big blow for the Shakers, though classy youngster Nicky Hill - superb during the second half at Walsall - looks to be more than ready for a run in the first team.
Boss Andy Preece also revealed that he will decide this week whether or not to snap up a prolific Danish striker who is currently on trial at Gigg Lane.
''He has gone back to Denmark for the weekend but I will have to speak to his agent and then we will take it from there,'' said the Bury boss.
