PENDLE: Farmers' markets in Nelson and Colne are set to continue after a successful trial period.
The markets, which are held in Nelson on the first Saturday of the month and Colne on the third Saturday, have proved popular with shoppers who have come from as far as Barrow-in-Furness to look round the stalls selling local produce.
They have also brought new shoppers into the towns, a report to Pendle Council's Colne area committee said.
The markets started in October for an initial six-month trial period. Councillors are being recommended to continue staging the events for another six months.
