A 12-WEEK exhibition outlining controversial proposals to earmark potential industrial sites in Pendle will be launched early next month.
The plan aims to create new jobs and protect existing ones.
Councillors are searching for possible venues across the borough for the exhibition which will outline Pendle Council's plans to meet future demand for industrial land.
The authority has warned firms may be forced to move away from the area unless enough potential sites can be found.
It also worried outside firms will not move to the borough unless land is earmarked.
Objectors fear the loss of greenfield sites and disruption to residents living nearby.
The sites being considered are an extension to Lomeshaye Industrial estate, Nelson; Swinden playing fields, Nelson; an extension to Barrowford Business Park; land at Colne Road, Barrowford; land at Barrowford Road, Colne; land at South Valley, Colne; and land adjacent A56 north of Foulridge.
The council says no decision will be made until the consultation is completed.
