FORMBY 0 BACUP 1 A WONDER goal from Nicky Taylor was enough to secure the points for Bacup at Formby in NWCL Division Two.
Five players were involved in the match-winning move which saw pint-sized forward Taylor send a power header into the roof of the net from a Carl Stanley cross.
Bacup had dominated the game only to see chance after chance go begging until Taylor's winner in the 71st minute.
Peters' side wasted three good chances before the goal.
In the 71st minute a terrific move ended with Bacup taking the lead.
Darren Esdale played the ball out from the back to Damien Moran, who in turn played on to Richard Stevens who played Stanley down the wing.
Stanley whipped in an inch-perfect cross, which was too high for Farnell but perfect for Taylor coming in at the far post.
Formby started chasing the game, throwing players forward, but Bacup held on for three well-deserved points.
Bacup are at home to Chadderton in NWCL Division Two tomorrow night (7.45pm).
