PRESTON 5 QPR 0 PRESTON'S Jon Macken had got used to being the lone regular frontman at Deepdale.
But now the striker will have to accept sharing the limelight with two others as £1.5m David Healy and American international Brian McBride have started to make an impact at North End.
Moyes chose to play the three of them up front breaking a run of five successive defeats with victory at Portsmouth last week.
And it more than paid off again as the trio ran riot against relegation-threatened Rangers on Saturday.
Macken scored two in ten minutes (51,61mins ) to take his tally to 15 for the season, Healy got North End's fourth (71) -- his fourth goal in six games -- and substitute Iain Anderson(87) added number five in a second half bombardment.
But the one which got the biggest cheer was McBride's.
The 29-year-old, after eight starts in his loan spell at Preston, had struggled to break his Deepdale duck.
He hit the post and was denied by Czech keeper Ludek Miklosko from six yards out in the first half before he finally got his first goal in English football -- North End's third in the 67th minute.
Healy provided a pin point cross which McBride rushed in to fire into the net.
"I thought I was going to draw another blank so it was nice to get a goal at last," said the American, who spent three months of his six month loan spell out with a blood clot in his arm, "I made a run and got a foot to it. There was definitely some relief.
"As three forwards, we are starting to click now. It is working great.
"The best attribute of the system is everyone playing everywhere, we can feed off each other. We are partners and it's a lot of fun.
"My main aim is to help the team but when I came back from injury we lost five in a row and I did not know if I was doing it!
"Lately though it feels good."
Macken claims a three week break for North End has helped.
"We went on a run of defeats, we were going through a bad patch and lost a bit of self belief. We had a break and it has worked well for us.
"Brian's was a great finish and David's (Healy) was the same. He is showing what a good signing he was," added Macken.
