A PENSIONER lost £500 after she was tricked into allowing bogus water officials inside her home.
The men called at the 79-year-old woman's house on Broad Oak Lane, Fairfield, Bury at 1.45 pm on Friday afternoon (Feb 9), claiming that they needed to check her water supply.
While one of the men kept the pensioner talking in the kitchen the other two were left unaccompanied. When the trio left the house, the pensioner discovered that nearly £500 was missing.
Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the men.
One was white, aged around 20, and of medium build. The other two were thought to be aged around 16, also white and of medium build.
