I WOULD like to ask Derby fan S Nightingale (Sports Letters, February 6), what humble pie actually tastes like.
He looked forward to the replay with Rovers and "ramming a large slice of humble pie down the throats of those whingeing, excuse-making Rovers fans."
May I take this opportunity, on behalf of all Rovers' fans, to ram down, not a large slice, but a whole humble pie down Mr Nightingale's throat? Bon appetit!
J SHACKLETON, Edmund Street, Darwen.
