THE victim of a brutal stabbing is to help a police artist produce a portrait of his attacker.
Khaliq Kanron, 30, was due home from Blackburn Royal Infirmary after undergoing surgery for the stab wound which left him with a punctured lung.
The owner of Curries from Ewood takeaway and neighbouring Genghis restaurant, Bolton Road, Ewood, was attacked by a robber on Thursday evening.
A waiter also received slight facial injuries before the man ran off empty-handed across the nearby Kwik-Save car park.
Detective Sergeant Paul Within said he hoped Mr Kanron would be able to produce a drawing with the artist tomorrow.
Anyone with information about the crime can call Blackburn CID on 01254 353569.
