THE comments in Sports Letters (LET, February 6) certainly brought a smile to my face.
There was Gary Donnelly, a Burnley fan asking whether a Rovers fan would still be supporting the team if promotion did not come soon.
And Sharon Osborne was retorting to comments about which is, or isn't a "big" club, and which has genuine fans.
Ms Osborne should take her own advice and, once away from Turf Moor, become a responsible adult.
I support neither Burnley nor Rovers, but am one of the strange breed who likes to see all our local clubs do well.
I have to agree with another writer, Mrs R Carter, who, like most fans in the area, is fed up of "petty niggles" and wants to get on with supporting her team and let everyone else get on with supporting theirs.
ANDREW WARING, Duke Bar, Burnley.
