THINKING of having a trip to the Pleasure Beach at Blackpool, maybe treat the kids to a ride or two on the roller coaster?

Save your money -- pack them all into the family car and ride up and down Rivington Road and get the same experience.

Do the politically correct anti-car lobby at St Helens Council truly believe that all car owners are complete morons? Are they not aware that the modern car has a speedometer fitted as standard and most sensible drivers contain their speed to the prevailing road conditions?

Or is it their way of giving us motorists the hump?

They are not a great idea, not very well constructed and certainly not at all good for the well-being of any vehicle.
