HOSPITAL bosses are asking the public to suggest a new name for the huge new extensions to Queen's Park Hospital that will replace Blackburn Royal Infirmary.
NHS trust chief executive John Thomas, apparently anxious not to lose the "royal" stamp, puts forward the idea "Royal Blackburn Hospital."
Given that hospital theatres and clinics are set to open from "eight till late" in a bid to cut waiting lists, I'd have thought that "Spar" might be a more fitting title.
