Hendry: Fulham in sights
COLIN Hendry believes Bolton can still upset the odds and snatch the Division One title from under the noses of Fulham.
Wanderers recorded their 19th win of the season last night to move within seven points of Fulham and extend the lead over Blackburn to nine points.
Former Rovers hero Hendry says: "As a player I am interested in doing the best possible and my sights are set on Fulham. Teams below are trying to catch us and we are trying to catch them."
Goals from Michael Ricketts and Bo Hansen helped Bolton to their tenth away win of the campaign.
Manager Sam Allardyce said: "It means we have given ourselves some breathing space and the win was well deserved. This team has great spirit and to come here and win on the back of a poor result at the weekend typifies that."
Wanderers were somewhat fortunate not to fall behind early on when Pompey created four clear cut chances but missed the lot. Poor defending by the home side enabled Ricketts to give Wanderers a 48 minute lead and 20 minutes from time a great pass from Ricardo Gardner set up Hansen.
Michael Panopoulos grabbed a consolation goal for Portsmouth.
