CASTLETON GABRIELS 1 DARWEN 1 IT was an eventful night for Darwen striker Paul Baker who grabbed an equaliser before being sent off for the first time in his career.
Manager Steve Wilkes, who was also sent off for coming on to the pitch to console Baker, described the NWCL Division Two clash as 'farcical' as a total of seven Darwen players were booked.
Gabriels took the lead after 25 minutes when Tom McKenna crossed from the left and Paul Davies headed back across the area for Dave Butterworth to nod home.
Baker was booked for dissent early in the second half by the card-happy official.
Wilkes' side had a Phil Rose goal disallowed but were on level terms after 75 minutes when Lee Slater released Baker to score at the second attempt.
Baker received his marching orders five minutes later followed by player-manager Wilkes.
