HAVE Blackburn's councillors not stopped to consider how our small town is going to accommodate the vast influx of tourists from all over the world that we will surely get to view this new cultural centre of the North?
Have they not thought of the huge financial loss to places such as Paris, Rome, Venice, etc. which will lose a large part of their tourism income because of people deserting their art centres to visit Blackburn?
I also wonder why, if our councillors are so taken with sculptor Ian Randall's work, they have not commissioned him to create masterpieces for their gardens.
One small suggestion to complete the re-development of Church Street would be a huge wind chime -- of flying pigs.
