LSA 1st XI 8 Norton 0
LYTHAM took the opportunity of 'blooding' a couple of their up and coming youngsters against a side struggling at the bottom of the league.
Both Graham Shaw and Sam Ashworth came through their test well to help Lytham make it eight wins out of their last nine league games.
In atrocious Deeside weather Lytham dominated from the start going two goals up in ten minutes thanks to a Dave Robbins penalty flock and a typical Craig Nuttall effort.
Debutant Graham Shaw capped a solid display by adding another before half time.
Lytham ran away with the second half with superior attacking passing and control.
All this led to five more goals.
Chris Hadley netted twice, while Robbins completed a hat-trick.
Another sound performance from Tom Atkinson which led to him scoring the eighth and last goal. North West League Division 5: LSA 2nd XI 1 Holmes Chapel 2
Playing in poor conditions LSA got off to a bright start with a goal by Bob Lowe from right midfield.
However, a lucky goal from a penalty corner saw the visitors draw level.
The second half was very even and LSA really deserved to come away with a point.
However, this was not to be and despite some resolute defence by Graham Stuart with great support from his goalkeeper Danny Horne, Holmes Chapel managed to score the winning goal. We wonder when the luck will change.
LSA 3rd XI lost 5-2 to Deeside Ramblers despite taking the lead. The 4th XI beat Warrington 2-1.
