WELL done Neil Wilcock (Journal, February 9) for successfully rallying the troops for the Salford cup tie. A proud Leyther, I wish some of his pride would spread to some of his fellow townsfolk, not just regarding Leigh Centurions, important though that is, but also in keeping our streets litter free and parks unvandalised.
Also, regarding the lady in Glebe Street objecting to a new stand at Hilton Park, who I suspect is wrong to say to say that Leigh is a little club who should stay that way. If there is no ambition they might as well pack in today.
The club needs the full support of its town to achieve its ambitions. We have a good team with good spirit, so can we have a Norman Collier-less speaker system to go with them!
