COUNCIL tenants who voice their opinions about the authority's housing department have the chance of winning a £50 prize.

A survey throughout almost 27,000 homes is being carried out by the department which is anxious to learn how it is viewed in the eyes of tenants.

Accommodation satisfaction, tenants' surroundings and the repair service are among items highlighted in the questionnaire.

All that residents have to do is fill in the form, pop it in to a pre-paid reply envelope and post it back to the Council and wait to see if their name comes first out of the hat for the £50 prize.

Housing Director Peter Gee said: "This consultation exercise is very important. We need to know the views of our tenants.

"The more who respond to the survey the better because it will help us draw reliable conclusions about what tenants think of the services they receive.

"So I hope all tenants will take just a few minutes to complete and return the forms to help us improve the services they receive.

"Of course the answers tenants provide will remain confidential. No individual or household will be identified in the findings. If anyone has a query about the survey form there is a central enquiry line and staff at area housing offices can assist if required."
