A MOTHER whose daughter is awaiting an emergency heart operation has won a car in a charity raffle.
Juliette Robinson, of Padiham, won the Peugeot 206 from dealer Perrys of Blackburn, who ran the competition in conjunction with the Down's Syndrome Association to raise money for the charity.
The Down's Syndrome Association aims to improve the lives of people with the condition as well as supporting parents and carers of people with Down's Syndrome.
Juliette, has two children, Joe, four, and Annie, two, who has Down's Syndrome. She said: "I am absolutely delighted and I would like to say a big thank you to the Down's Syndrome Association and Peugeot.
"I have never won anything before and this is the perfect prize for me as I'm on 48 hour call for heart surgery for Annie.
"It is reassuring to know that when the call comes we have a reliable way of getting there as soon as possible."
John Forster, dealer principal for Perry's, said: "I can't think of a more deserving person to win a 206 than Juliette and I'm so pleased that Peugeot are providing her with such a valuable prize which will play an important part in her family's life."
