BLACKBURN boss Graeme Souness today issued a firm hands off warning to anyone hoping to prize Damien Duff away from Ewood.
A report in one of the weekend tabloids claimed Newcastle boss Bobby Robson is ready to come in with a new bid to land the the Republic of Ireland international winger.
But Souness insists the Geordies stand 'no chance' of tempting him to part with one of his biggest assets.
"Damien Duff is not for sale, end of story," said Souness.
"There's absolutely no chance I'd be prepared to let him go."
Newcastle were linked with an £8 million bid for the player in the summer.
But the latest story suggested Robson was ready to part with £3 million plus Scottish winger Stepohen Glass.
However, Duff only signed a new contract with Rovers in the summer.
And, from the moment Souness first took up the Ewood hotseat he has always insisted the Irishman is one of key players.
