AN artist celebrated his 60th birthday in style by opening an exhibition of his art at Towneley Hall.
John Corcoran, of Nelson, gave visitors viewers an insight into the working methods of an artist who has achieved commercial success in his career for 40 years.
John's paintings have been reproduced as best-selling prints and greetings cards and as limited edition plates by Royal Doulton.
The exhibition covers his career from student days to his most recent surrealist works and provides visitors with a unique opportunity to view many of his original pieces which have rarely been seen in public.
The exhibition is open on Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from noon-4pm.
