A LION was seen prowling around a Darwen office on Saturday . . . but there was no reason for concern.
For the creature was in the form of a Chinese Lion on the top of Ray Heeks' head. Ray was at the Darwen Tower Credit Union to perform a traditional lion dance for two reasons.
Firstly, the dance was part of the celebrations to mark the union's fifth birthday. But there was a more spiritual side to the dance.
Janice Parker, president of the credit union, said: "Ray believes in Feng Shui and he says that because the building is on a curve it has bad chi. So the dance is to help get rid of some of the bad spirits."
