PACKAGE holiday giant Airtours has announced redundancies at its Helmshore base -- and could not confirm whether or not there would be more job losses in future.
The news is a second blow to staff who are still coming to terms with the travel company's decision to move its HQ from Helmshore to Rochdale.
A small number of administration support staff have been told their jobs are to go.
Around 1,000 workers were told last year that they would be expected to move from the Helmshore office when the firm transferred its Airtours Holidays, Going Places and Travelworld businesses to Rochdale.
The company is in the process of moving its departments between the two sites.
A spokesman for Airtours said: "There have been about 10 or 11 redundancies among administration support roles at Helmshore. These are due to restructuring within the company.
"I can't comment on whether there will be any more redundancies, but there are none that I know of."
The company said that there had been no redundancies at its Tradewinds site in Accrington's Globe Centre.
