BURNLEY police have issued "yellow card" warnings to people parking on back streets in the Turf Moor area on matchdays.
Officers left warning notices on cars in and around Brunshaw Road during the last home game and vehicle registrations were noted.
They say if the same cars are caught causing obstruction again, owners will be issued with fixed penalty notices.
Burnley Inspector John Clucas said: "I would urge match-goers to give some consideration to other road users and to local residents when parking their cars."
He added: "I would also remind them that emergency vehicles like fire engines cannot get through a gap of less than 10ft, so they could actually be putting lives at risk with their bad parking."
