odds - Little BURNLEY winger Glen Little knows the bookies may have Fulham as the favourites for tonight's clash -- but he's ready to prove them wrong.

The league leaders visit Turf Moor tonight after their 'mini crisis' of one win in four games came to an end with victory over Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

They meet Burnley who are struggling to find their feet with one victory in the last ten games.

But Little's determined to let the form book fly out the window.

"One or two of their players stand out," joked Little, who knows the strike duo of Louis Boa Morte and Luis Saha, the midfield influence of John Collins and the goal-stopping prowess of Northern Ireland international goalkeeper Maik Taylor are on their way to the Premiership next season.

"Everyone of their players are good players, that is why they are at Fulham.

"I know the bookies will have them down as hot favourites but we are not going into it thinking we will lose.

"We will be long odds to beat them but odds can be upset. The favourites don't always win games or races.

"Fulham have lost to Birmingham, drawn with Sheffield United and Barnsley in recent games.

"Even though the table doesn't lie, it goes to prove, no one is invincible and upsets can happen.

"And we will try and make it happen tonight."

Despite a drop in confidence in the Clarets camp with the poor run -- and three straight defeats -- Little says a game against the Cottagers could help them get over the recent slide.

"The games do not come any bigger than Fulham. They are all tough matches at the moment but we have just got to get on with it and wait and see what happens.

"There is no point moaning about it not going for us.

"The confidence is low as it's not going our way at the moment but we have got to keep going until we get the win.

"We are disappointed with the way things are going but no one can say the players don't try.

"We always put it in. We have had chances and just haven't been taking them."

The Cottagers have recently spent £50,000 on their pitch so it is more conducive to the type of passing football Jean Tigana's side like to play.

And Little is aware that Fulham's type of play could also suit the Clarets.

"It's a stupid way in football that the players will probably play better against Fulham than they did against Grimsby. It will be a different type of game.

"With Fulham we should get more time and space on the ball and in other games such as Grimsby, everyone is scrapping and you hardly get any time on the ball. It could suit us.

"We have been saying we just need to string some results together for two months now. Two or three wins and we will be okay. We are just keeping our fingers crossed it will start tonight."

Meanwhile, Little is looking forward to seeing his old pal from his Crystal Palace days Fulham captain Chris Coleman who is fighting for his football career after a horrific car accident.

"I know Chris well. It is such a shame what has happened to him. I just like to think he will be okay and play again. They will miss him."
