BURY will take on the Pakistan national side in a friendly match at Gigg Lane on March 21 in a match which is likely to be broadcast live to an audience of millions in Asia.
It is the first time Pakistan has played in Britain and they will also play Coventry City during the two-match tour.
Shakers chairman Terry Robinson said: "We are honoured and delighted to be playing this historic game. Bury and its surrounding towns have a large Pakistani community who I'm sure will come to the match and support their side.
"Bury were the first club in the UK to sign an Asian player in Baichung Bhutia and I expect his participation will add extra flavour to the event."
Bury will be hoping for a big crowd for the match, which could help ease their money worries. Kick off is 7.30pm with all tickets £10 (£5 concessions).
