LEIGH Centurions won't be short of vocal backing when they take on Super League big spenders Warrington Wolves in next Sunday's Silk Cut Challenge Cup tie at Wilderspool.
By yesterday Leigh fans had snapped up almost 2,500 of their 3,800 allocation of tickets and all the indications are that the Centurions will have well over 3,000 fans at the fifth round tie.
Although the match is not all-ticket, fans have been urged to buy tickets in advance to make sure of seeing the game.
"The capacity at Wilderspool these days is down to about 8,500," says Leigh's commercial manager Kevin Ashcroft, a former player and coach at Warrington. "Buying a ticket in advance will guarantee that you see the game. If it's a sell-out and you've no ticket, you won't get in."
A convoy of buses and coaches will be leaving Hilton Park for the tie which could see the NFP leaders claim a second successive Super League scalp.
The ticket office at Hilton Park will remain open until 7pm tonight (Wed) and tomorrow.
