sorry Harwood ROSSENDALE 7 GREAT HARWOOD 1 ROSSENDALE were disappointed when the league ordered this game to be replayed after it was abandoned, with Dale 1-0 up, due to a power cut with 10 minutes to play earlier in the season.

But the re-arranged game gave title-chasing Dale a chance to improve their goal tally as they annihilated East Lancashire neighbours Great Harwood at Dark Lane.

Gary Rishton opened the scoring on 14 minutes with a powerful header past former Bacup keeper Darryl Sloane in the Harwood net.

Jamie Webster made it two with his first goal for Rossendale, on 22 minutes.

Five minutes before the break, Dave Livesey pulled one back for the visitors after breaking free from the Dale defence and slotting past Sloane from aone-on-one position.

But Dale restored their two-goal lead a minute later when Jason Heffernen scored a contender for goal of the season with a curling free kinck Brazilian Carlos would have been proud to call his own.

A minute before the break Dale went 4-1 up when Cunningham got his first of the evening.

Dale brought on Matt Raywood and David Gray after the break and threw three up front.

And the goal rout continued as Darren Norman scored on 55 minutes and Cunningham got his second of the night on the hour.

Craig Sargeson notched a seventh 10 minutes from time from the penalty spot.
