TEAM 11, a group of volunteers from the Princes Trust, are combining creativity with hard graft in an attempt to revamp the gardens and community centre areas of St Davids Church, Moss Bank.
The project, which has being running for two weeks, involves around 12 young volunteers - the majority whom are unemployed.
Nichola Herrity, who works at the trust, said, "The gardens that are situated behind the church were originally like a bonfire site, full of brambles and weeds. It has been hard work but we're getting there."
Volunteer Paul Mcloughlin said the real aim of the project was to benefit the community, "The gardens may be used for fetes, and the community rooms for mother and babies groups".
Team 11 also commented on how much they enjoyed the challenge, and that the great teamwork made the project so enjoyable. They would like to express their thanks to team leader Dave Sheridan and everyone who contributed towards the costs of tools and materials.
The regenerated area will be unveiled to the community on February 26 and The Princes Trust are hoping that the local Mayor and members of Saints rugby team will be in attendance.
