MEET Solomon -- the lovely white cat who has really got his claws into the opposition after being selected to appear on the labels of a new range of pet food.
The three-year-old domesticated moggie has proved he is Arth-urs good as the pedigree cats in the business after being chosen to front the Bamber's Dinner Cat range.
His eye-catching looks won the hearts of bosses at the Whitestake-based firm, in Preston, who snapped up the purr-fect cat for their tinned pet food launched recently.
Lively Solomon is owned by animal lover Carol Walker, of St Saviours Close, Bamber Bridge, who acquired the cat as a kitten.
Carol said: "I got him at six-and-a-half-weeks-old along with his sister called Misty. He was different from the type of cat I was looking for but he's really lovely.
"When Bamber's approached me to take photographs of all my cats I was delighted. I later got a proof and thought it was lovely.
"It's a great picture and he looks really good -- quite intelligent -- dare I say just as good as Arthur."
And to prove that Solomon is a cat who practises what he preaches his caring owner never fails to dish him up a tasty Bamber's cat food treat -- made with 28 per cent meat -- a paw-licking delight for any moggie.
Marketing manager at Bamber's, Richard Drake, said: "We are delighted with Solomon. He's very photogenic and looks a treat. We are all very happy with the results."
