Lishman Cup: semi-final: Lytham Ladies 1st XI 3 Garstang 2 AFTER a quiet opening ten minutes Lytham took control of the game forcing several short corners only to be denied each time by some good goalkeeping.
With the scores level at half-time Lytham upped the pace and were rewarded by a goal when Michelle Singleton provided a superb pass for Rachael Parziale to strike home.
Garstang replied quickly only for Lytham to again take the lead this time Ruth Blackburn rounding off a good individual run before a superb finish.
Despite piling on the pressure Lytham conceded a second goal before further pressure resulted in a second for Ruth Blackburn that proved to be the winner. A great result for Lytham.
