FORTRESS Bloomfield. How about that for the name of our new ground?

With a run of five consecutive wins at home without conceding a single goal this our best run since the Billy Ayre days of the early '90s.

Although our defence has looked shaky at times - and injuries haven't helped - they have managed to hold firm.

And what a signing Daniel Shittu from Charlton appears to have been!

Although he looks a lot lighter than the 16 stone quoted in sections of the media, he was a giant in our defence.

Not only did he score but he played with such commitment and well deserved his man of the match award.

Beating Cardiff was the first time the Seasiders have beaten a team in the top seven all season and we have now started to win some matches when not playing that well.

And beating teams we would have lost against a few months ago. In respect of Real Progress, this is your last chance to contribute to the lapsed fans survey as the closing date for "entries" is the end of the month. We have had a fantastic response.

Please get in touch with your comments and add your opinions to the 500 or so ex-fans who have already responded. The contact names, address/e-mail appear below.

We plan to hold another public meeting in the near future. We hope to soon be able to provide answers to all of the questions raised at our last meeting and are currently waiting to hear from the club to whom we have sent an e-mail during the last week.

Once we have received answers to these, another meeting will be held to relate the information back to you. Aside from Tuedays defeat it's been another excellent week for the Seasiders and long may Fortress Bloomfield remain standing intact!
