A BLACKPOOL photographic printer has snapped up yet another award. Keith Rothwell, one of the partners at Pro-lab Photographic Laboratory on Blackpool and Fylde Industrial Estate, has won the first Agfa National Colour Printer of the Year award -- his fourth prize for his printing skills.
The winning print featured a steam locomotive in Sunderland and was taken by Peter Fitton back in 1967. The image was expertly enhanced by printing the original black and white negative on to modern colour paper and the reason it looks like a memory from a bygone era is that a special sepia tint was created.
Pictured here is Keith (centre) shows off his prize-winning print with Peter Fitton (left) and Simon Berwick of Agfa Gevaert.
