BLACKBURN Rovers' ground was the setting for a family fun day set up to let people know about a scheme for families with young children.
The Sure Start initiative is targeted at families with youngsters under four-years-old and aims to give children in the Mill Hill, Green Lane, Galligreaves, Livesey and Griffin areas a flying start.
The scheme provides extra help and advice with child care, health and education and support for children with special needs, and the half-term event was a chance for people to ask members of the Sure Start board about the scheme and put forward suggestions.
Among the activities available were face painting, crafts, fairground rides, a disco and a children's entertainer, and the Rovers mascot Roar was also on hand to welcome families.
