TWO Lancashire AA men who helped avert a major motorway disaster have been honoured for their bravery at an awards ceremony in London.
Kevin Harrison, 49, of Euxton, left, and Tony Lissett, 48, of Horwich, received AA Service Medals for their courage after an accident on the M55 near Woodplumpton.
Tony used his patrol vehicle to shield the night-time crash scene which involved an overturned horsebox. Kevin joined him at the scene and together, their used their vehicles to box in the animal while it was transferred to another horsebox.
