THE Wolves of Warrington hold no fears for the underdogs of Leigh.

The Centurions have set their sights on skinning the Wolves and won't be intimidated by the international array of talent they'll come up against at Wilderspool on Sunday.

"We respect Warrington as a potential Top Five Super League club - but we're not frightened of them," declares head coach Paul Terzis.

Leigh will go into the Silk Cut Challenge Cup fifth round tie without injured co-skipper Andy Fairclough but will be roared on by a massive army of travelling support.

Although the game is not all-ticket, Leigh have sold over 2500 ground and stand tickets and are confidently predicting that 3000 of their own fans will be at Wilderspool.

Leigh's victory over Salford in the last round set up this rip-roaring derby which should see Wilderspool packed to the rafters, but which represents another massive step up for Terzis' part-timers.

A glance at the Wolves likely line-up reads like a who's who of RL greats: Allan Langer, Kevin Walters, Tawera Nikau, Toa Kohe-Love and Alan Hunte will lead a side packed with top class experience. But that doesn't scare Terzis and his boys.

"Warrington are a few more rungs up the Super League ladder than Salford. They finished sixth last season and felt they had under-achieved. They've also had two more weeks' preparation than Salford, so it's going to be one helluva big challenge for us," says Terzis.

But where Leigh do have the distinct advantage is that they are battle-hardened after 11 games of their season and their confidence is sky high after a 100 per cent start to the campaign.

"The atmosphere in the camp has been incredible ever since the draw was made. Everyone wants to play in this game so you have to feel really sorry for Andy (Fairclough) who will be out for three or four weeks with ankle trouble.

"Simon (Svabic) and Liam (Bretherton) are itching to get stuck into Walters and Langer - the best half-back combination Australia has produced in the last 15 years. There are some great clashes all across the park.

"Matches of this intensity stands us in good stead for the future, knowing what will be expected of us in Super League week in and week out. We've got to prove that we're capable of taking the next step."

Terzis again plays cat-and-mouse with opposite number Darryl Van de Velde over his team selection.

He has only confirmed that Fairclough is out because of an ankle injury he picked up at Featherstone and that Kieron Purtill has been under treatment for a shoulder injury. Paul Anderson, Liam Bretherton and Dave Whittle, who all missed the Featherstone game, are back in the squad for this weekend.

Terzis' final message to his players before they step out at 2.55pm is: "Enjoy yourselves and have no regrets."
