AN initiative has been launched to help East Lancashire businesses to improve their marketing and reach their full potential.
The Lancashire Centre for Marketing Excellence, based in Accrington, provides a comprehensive range of services to assist small to medium-sized firms.
Advice and practical assistance is available in areas such as market research, export development and promotional campaigns.
Frank Allman, manager of the Lancashire Marketing Initiative said customised support was on hand for businesses. "This flagship initiative is staffed by a team of marketing professionals with years of expertise in promoting and marketing business ventures," he said. The initiative is supported by Lancashire County Council.
Local councillor Jean Battle visited the centre and was full of praise for the support being provided. "Small and medium-sized businesses are the life-blood of the local economy, yet weaknesses in marketing are one of the main reasons why businesses fail to achieve their full potential," she said.
