GREAT HARWOOD: Denis Underwood is urging his shell-shocked troops not to get too demoralised ahead of the daunting trip to high-flying Newcastle Town.
Following Wednesday's 7-1 mauling at Rossendale, Underwood is concerned another heavy defeat could knock his players' confidence for the forthcoming NWCL Division One relegation scraps.
He said: "We always knew this was going to be a tough period for us but we have five homes games on the trot coming up and I want the lads to be up for them."
Underwood has dipped into the West Lancashire League to bolster his squad by signing Feniscowles midfielder Mick France and centre back Ian Radcliffe from Whinney Hill.
