RESIDENTS or former residents of Salterforth village are being urged to dig out their old photographs for an exhibition aimed at improving the village.
The Friends of Salterforth are collecting any photographs of the village, whether in the past or as it is now, as well as ideas from residents on ways to develop their community in the future.
The group recently held a meeting at Salterforth Baptist Church at which it was decided to hold the exhibition, which will enable them to focus on how the village has changed over the years, and to create a Wish Tree which will include all the ideas gathered from residents.
Following on from the exhibition, the Friends plan to go door-to-door around all the houses in Salterforth with a questionnaire to discuss future plans with everyone on the electoral role.
If anyone has any items they can lend the Friends or any ideas they wish to discuss with them, they should contact Fiona Hanson at the village post office.
