WHEN baby Luke Meecham was born he was a little bundle of joy not only for his parents but for his grandma, his great-grandma and even his great great grandma.
The five generations led by great great grandma Gertrude Penny, 92, got together to show off the latest addition to the family.
Luke's mum Jeanette, 29, of Mostyn Avenue, Earby, is one of 28 great grandchildren and her mum Denise Lunt, 47, of Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, is one of 13 grandchildren.
Gertrude, of Langwith, Nottinghamshire, had four children, one of whom is Luke's great gran Nora Richards, 67, who lives in Skegness.
And Jeanette and her husband Cliff, 31, who is catering manager at Boundary Mill Stores in Colne, are hoping to further extend the family tree.
Jeanette, who has lived in Earby for eight years, is a supervisor at Boundary Mill Stores.
She said: "It was nice to all get together because we don't often get the chance because we live so far apart. Luke's grandma Denise gets to see him about once every two months because it's quite a way to travel with a baby.
"It's absolutely brilliant having Luke and I am planning on more."
Luke, who is three months old, is expected to support his home team when he is older despite his dad supporting third division side Darlington.
"Luke's dad says although we are not originally from this area, Luke has been born in Lancashire and will surely be a keen Burnley Football Club supporter," said Jeanette.
