The 1-0 win over Huddersfield on Saturday -- following the glorious midweek win over league leaders Fulham -- will now be followed by four away trips starting with Portsmouth on Saturday, as the home match against Tranmere a week on Saturday has been postponed.
The Clarets last won on their travels on October 21 at Queens Park Rangers and Armstrong, who has started the last three games, says the home wins should help to ease the current away day blues.
"It's always nice to win football matches and we can go away now and turn things around," said the 33-year-old who is suspended for next Tuesday's trip to Stockport.
"We should have got something at Grimsby and we definitely should have got something at Crewe, so there's no reason why we can go out there and get the results.
"The tide has turned now.
"We've got good players here, but it just didn't seem to be happening for us recently.
"We weren't scoring goals and we were conceding the odd daft one at the other end."
And Armstrong thinks the six points from two games should stop the Clarets falling anywhere near a relegation battle this season.
"I don't think you can ever rest and settle until it's mathematically all sorted out.
"But I'm pretty confident about things.
"We have a great squad and I think we will go on to do even better next year."
Armstrong, after two games in midfield, dropped into defence for the victory over the Terriers, replacing Ian Cox who is away on international duty with Trinidad and Tobago.
And he enjoyed linking up with Clarets loan striker Gareth Taylor -- in defence!
The Manchester City loan man moved into the back four following Mitchell Thomas' departure with a gashed forehead 20 minutes from time -- Thomas had seven stitches -- and proved what a versatile player he is.
"Gareth moved into the centre of defence and when he came off he told us he hadn't played there since Junior School!" laughed Armstrong.
"He quite enjoyed it really and did very well after they put us under some terrific late pressure.
"But he's a quality signing by the gaffer and he's helped to freshen up the place."
And another player deserving of Armstrong's praise was keeper Nik Michopoulos, who pulled of a stunning last gasp save to guarantee Burnley the three points.
"Nik's a great keeper. He's a great shot stopper and he's good on crosses as well.
"He's proving to be a great signing for the club."
Meanwhile manager Ternent was also lavishing praise on new boy Taylor who is hoping to get a permanent deal at Turf Moor.
"Gareth has had a great start for us because he's been playing in the Manchester City reserves all season.
"That's a long way from playing First Division football.
"But he's done very well in two hard games that will have been tough on him physically and that will have done him a lot of good.
"He'll get a nice rest now until next week and we'll get some good training and some team play in and things can only get better for him in my view."
