SINCE becoming unemployed in December I have gone to the Jobcentre every day and phone them up sometimes.
But when I do the same old jobs are on offer, but the pay opens your eyes.
For a 40-hour week, the pay is £3.70 an hour. This is not a joke -- it's an insult to a single person like me who has a mortgage, council tax, gas and electricity to pay.
It's about time the government and unions got their heads together to get the minimum wage up to £4 an hour and onwards.
What these firms paying it are doing is keeping a smile on their shareholders' faces.
