DAVID Dunn plans to impress Sven Goran Eriksson for the second time in five days tonight as he bids to lead England's Under 21s to glory against Spain at St Andrews.

Dunn stole the show at the Reebok on Friday night as Rovers demolished Bolton 4-1 in front of the new England boss.

And the 21-year-old would love a repeat tonight as English football prepares to enter a new dawn under the guidance of the former Lazio boss.

"It's going to be a great test for us," said Dunn.

"They'll be sharp and busy and it's important we get a good result because we need to go into our next qualifier against Finland with a lot of confidence.

"This is a chance for the coaches to have a look at a few different things so I think they'll try to give everyone 45 minutes if they can.

"But it would be great to put in a decent performance in front of the new manager.

"So, hopefully, I can."

Dunn sat out training yesterday after aggravating a calf injury in Rovers' victory at Bolton.

But the Great Harwood born youngster didn't detect a wind of change as the Eriksson era got underway.

"It doesn't really affect us as much," said Dunn.

"It's just a get together for us really because the manager and the set-up is still the same at our level.

"And with us playing tonight, there wasn't much time to work on anything so it will mainly a case of looking at a few set-pieces."

However, Dunn and Co will be eager to impress once the serious stuff gets underway tonight.

And he goes into the clash full of confidence after helping Rovers turn up the heat on second-placed Bolton. "Our win at Bolton was a great result but now we've got to make sure we don't let that good work go to waste against West Brom on Saturday," said Dunn.

"I think we've got it in us to win every game but we've got to keep grafting between now and the end of the season.

"If we can win our games in hand and get infront of Bolton then I think we'll stay there.

"But saying that and doing that are two different things.

"Everyone was obviously delighted with the way we played on Friday night.

"But the manager was quick to stress the hard work is still to come."

Dunn believes, however, that Rovers' new-found team spirit can lead them all the way back to the top flight.

"I think we all get on brilliantly and that's definitely showing in the way we are playing at the moment.

"You only have to look at the goal celebrations to see we're all in it together.

"We're all young lads who are growing up together.

"In the cup against Bolton last week I think there were only two players older than 22 in the team once Garry Flitcroft got sent off.

"So we all knock about together and there's a great team spirit -- probably the best I've known since I left the youth team.

"Marcus Bent has fitted in well and he's also scoring goals which is important for a striker.

"And Alan Mahon has also shown he's a very good player, too.

"So there's a great buzz around the club at the moment."
