CULCHETH WI's fame is spreading. Last month 50 members attended the group at Culcheth Village Hall and because of overcrowding had to move from their usual room to the bigger hall.
President Maureen Draper revealed that as a result of completed questionnaires a programme of short walks will be tried.
Jill Scattergood showed a certificate the group has received for its part in the Pathway to the 21st Century project and highlighted the craft group's work for the cushy cushions appeal to raise funds for Children's Aid Direct.
Ted Machin brough a whiff of sea air to the meeting with a talk on Sea Faring Yarns and Ships in Bottles. The next meeting is on March 20 when Mrs R Gorton will speak on Tatton Park and the Egerton Family.
