DRINKERS at the Derby Arms, in Colne, are being greeted by two new faces behind the bar.
Tenants Richard Capon, 43, and Janice Seed, 47, took over the Newmarket Street pub last Wednesday after moving from Cleveleys.
It is the first pub the pair have managed together but regulars will be pleased to know they have no major plans to change the way things are run -- apart from the addition of lunchtime food and bar snacks.
Richard, who has previous experience in the licensing trade, said: "It's a meet-and-greet process at the moment to get to know everyone but so far we are really enjoying it even though it is very tiring.
"We are gradually going to introduce things like bands and things but there is nothing else major to do.
"The regulars have been drinking here for 20 years and they run the place. We are really guests in our own pub."
Richard said they would definitely be maintaining links with the Blues Festival -- the pub has been a successful venue for live music -- and keeping what he described as the pub's two 'first class' football and snooker teams.
