REMEMBER, how, when you see a beggar in the street and they ask if you have some spare change for a cup of tea, you immediately think: 'Oh they are helpless and they really have no money'?
Well, here is the shocking truth about beggars of this town.
After shopping in Asda the other day I was approached outside and asked for money by a well-known beggar. I gave him change of a pound from my pocket but within seconds he had asked another lady for money and I saw her hand over £1.
Imagine if he stayed there for an hour, he would make at least £50 per hour and at the end of the year maybe he could buy a yacht!
We all work hard for our money, and I bet most do not earn £30 per day to support our families. I think we should leave these beggars to the social services, because the problem of beggars will always be there and they are not as badly off as we think they are.
After all, the money they beg for does not go on cups of tea or clothing or a mortgage.
Think before you give to these beggars who, at the end of a cool day's begging, could be on a winner.
