A PRIMARY school which was targeted by vandals at the start of the half term holidays has fallen victim again.
Two windows were smashed at St Peter's Primary School, Turncroft Road, as youngsters were on holiday.
Now, someone has tried to set fire to the boiler room of the school.
Headmaster Frank Jeffs said: "It appears vandals have gone for us again.
"The boiler room suffered slight smoke damage but what concerns me as well is that someone has tried to set fire to the new adventure playground.
"Over the weekend a youth was seen trying to set fire to the wooden chippings underneath the train but thankfully a neighbour saw the boy and he ran off when our caretaker came over."
Any information about either offence at the school should be passed to Darwen Police on 01254 701777.
