PLANS to improve recreational facilities in Ramsbottom will be discussed at a public forum.
People are invited to attend the next meeting of the Ramsbottom and Tottington area board committee meeting to discuss any local issues that are raising concerns with residents.
On the agenda will be the possibility of a skate park in Ramsbottom, as well as the refurbishment of sports ground facilities at Bolton Road West, Ramsbottom, and Tottington's Towns Meadow after fears about unruly teenagers in the area.
Area co-ordinator Michael Ormerod said: "We will be discussing local concerns about recent anti-social behaviour by a small minority of teenagers and reporting on action being taken to deal with that.
"There is some acceptance that more facilities are needed for young people in the area such as the current development of a skate park in Ramsbottom plus the refurbishment of recreation ground facilities. It is another matter for discussion."
A number of successful schemes will also be discussed, ranging from bus services and car parking to highway maintenance.
The police community consultation worker will also be attending the meeting to provide an update on the crime and disorder strategy audit and there will be further reports on the kickstart grant applications and the community plan.
Committee chair Coun Dorothy Gunther said: "Everybody is welcome and if you have a local issue to raise the area board is the place to do it."
The meeting starts at 7pm in the Christ Church Centre, Stubbins Lane, Ramsbottom.
