A LOCAL contractor working on a council housing scheme in Newton-le-Willows has won an award for considering the neighbours and environment.
Contractor J. Yearsley and Sons Ltd. of St Helens won the award under the Considerate Constructors Scheme which is supported by the council and endorsed by the government and local government association.
The scheme deals with the impact of contractors' activities on neighbours, the general public and the environment. The award follows work on properties in Cole Avenue.
